The facilities provided were excellent, including comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and a relaxing ambiance. The owners were friendly and helpful, creating a pleasant stay overall.

The one service that I missed for my work was a dedicated work area or business center. It would have been convenient to have a designated space for work-related tasks, such as a desk and reliable Wi-Fi connection.

The shared bedroom was nice with good beds. Kitchen and seating area were excellent. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Massage chair was a unique feature. Plenty to do in the area.

    Nothing, it is perfect.

This cozy backpackers offers a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a great communal vibe. the plunger coffee is a big plus! You can also enjoy the convenience of a massage chair during your stay. With plenty to do in the surrounding area, this is an ideal place to stay for low-budget travelers.

Felt safe walking at night, no complaints at all.

Enjoyed the free unlimited WIFI, well equipped kitchen and comfy lounge. The massage chair was a nice treat after a long day of activities. Also, loved the small patio for outdoor dining.

Oh, and let's not forget the joy of sharing a bathroom with half the hostel. So convenient.

The value for money at this cozy mountain lodge-style hostel was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a quirky touch. The location was perfect, within walking distance to attractions and amenities. The staff, especially Tristan, were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast selection could be improved with more variety.

I chose this hotel for a corporate retreat and it was perfectly located for both business and leisure. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location in Hanmer Springs allowed for easy access to the town's amenities and attractions, making it a convenient choice for both work and relaxation.

The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center or workspace. While the hotel had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, having a designated area for work-related tasks would have been a bonus.

I had a very cosy and nice stay at a budget-friendly hostel in Hanmer Springs. The place was small and intimate, with a communal dining area and kitchen. The private room I stayed in was small but comfortable. The free wifi and daily use of the massage chair were a nice bonus. The hostel was also conveniently located close to the hot springs. I would definitely recommend this place for a comfortable and affordable stay in Hanmer Springs.

I really appreciated the warm welcome from the owner and the freshly baked cookies in the morning. the room was well heated and had a sky window, which was great for stargazing. the facilities were clean and of good quality. It was also nice to see that the hostel was family-friendly.

I felt that the double room was a bit small, and it could have been more spacious. the shared facilities were not always well-maintained, and I noticed that the massage chair on the landing was often out of order.

Mind-blowingly friendly and chatty hosts, with Tristan recommending jaw-dropping hikes nearby. The cozy wood burner made evenings super warm, and every dorm bed had a handy bedside table and lamp with plenty of power outlets. The well-equipped kitchen was always kept clean, and the complimentary massage chair was a unique and relaxing treat. Highly recommend staying here!

We had a decent stay at this backpacker inn. the location was convenient, with everything we needed within walking distance. the staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. the room we stayed in was spacious and had a comfortable bed, allowing us to rest well after our long day of exploring.

There were a couple of drawbacks. the kitchen was not properly maintained.

The Hanmer Backpackers is like a cozy home away from home, with a quirky and welcoming atmosphere. The accommodation offers a spacious room with a double bed and bunk bed, as well as a cute kitchen and a large dining table. The mezzanine lounge with books, games, and a massage chair is perfect for relaxation. Outside, there is a garden with seating and a table, along with a BBQ for guests to use. The location is ideal, with mini golf nearby and the shops only a short walk away. Additionally, the hot springs are just a five-minute walk from the backpackers.

Felt safe and secure, nothing to complain about.

We had our own little unit with toilet and shower. Kitchen dining room area was very cosy and Tristan was available when needed. We could park right in front of our room. Beds are very comfortable. Herbs, coffee plunger an extra bonus. Everything. Truly. It’s probably our favourite hostel of a 3 year world tour. the passion for their business is evident in every corner of the place. It’s spotlessly clean, so cosy and has all you need for an enjoyable stay - couples, solo trippers and families. It’s this gorgeous quaint alpine lodge with comfy furniture and a log fire that Tristan keeps going all afternoon and evening. I was so toasty warm that I was able to sleep in my summer PJs again. It reminded me of visiting my favourite old relative where you instantly walk in and get this warm fuzzy “I’m home” feeling. I loved reading my book in the upstairs lounge and the 15 min free massage chair experience was just a cherry on the already awesome cake. I really love how they have a few polite notices around the place but you aren’t bombarded with instructions and rules. They also wash their duvet covers after every guest. Excellent job you guys, I already want to come back. Cons: Nothing it was perfect! 😊.
